Winter Repairs Under Way

Sunday 14/2/2016 saw members turn up on a bright cold morning to undertake some tasks that needed sorting before the Club’s busy events and contesting session starts.

Task undertaken where as follows.

Place a new winch cable on the lattice tower.
Place a new 40m Dipole to our second mast that has the 80m dipole and 160m dipole already on it.

Check the 40m Vertical is still in tune and all ok
Clear a pathway in the under grove very hard manual job, on the top embankment to be able to reach the support masts to the nest of dipoles.

Tidy the workshop out
Clean and tidy the radio shack and detail all the radios.
Clean the full kitchen and common room.
General dusting and polishing.

We had many members on hand and each was split into groups and undertook a task .

By around 10am work had started and by 1:30pm we were all hungry, but in the background Bob M0RWL had been Busy been chief bottle washer and cook, he had Bake spuds with butter and cheese, along with hot dogs and onions, and a nice Cuppa to boot.

After our break and filling our faces work begun again and by 2:30pm all was done.

Here is few picture of the day and hopefully more to be added as we get them in.
