A Busy and Productive Club Night

It was another great evening at the club this Friday, with plenty of activity and teamwork on display as we prepare for the upcoming contest,CQ WPX SSB

Andy G7LRR spent the night repairing a faulty power supply, getting essential equipment back into working order. Meanwhile Jason M0MGF was busy setting up the clubs latest radio, an FTdx10, and connecting it to an amplifier, making sure that everything was ready for serious operating.

Not to be outdone Pat M0PKE was hard at work constructing an interface so the FTdx10 will work seamlessly with our headsets – a key piece of the puzzle for contesting!

While all the technical wizardry was going on, a few members gathered downstairs in the canteen to catch up on world events local news.

All in all a productive and enjoyable club evening, great progress has been made towards contest readiness. Next weekend (Saturday 7th March) sees the club opening its doors after a long winter for the first maintenance day of the year, lets get that coax sorted shall we ?
