Hi,
Looks like a great set up,when I use to visit the fort,I enjoyed looking at the military set up and spoke to the owner once about it being a great place for an amateur radio set up to promote and show amateur radio, especially with the water take off.I know you have moved your QTH and have heard that you are reestablishing back at the fort?. Unfortunately my location is a valley so I. can only hear you when I come into Hull mainly work mobile. Looks a great set up though.
Sue - Club Secretary:
Hi William, the fort is indeed being re-opened by a couple of men but we are not fully sure what they are doing with it. HFDXARC are not moving back there or operating from there, certainly not in the near future. We are currently in an old disused mill. We have redeveloped it for ham use as you can see from our website. The site is a large site and is also home to glamping pods and caravans, some of our members do have their own vans on site so they can spend the weekend there. Proper little community feel going on. You are always very welcome to call in for a visit and one of the guys will gladly give you a tour. Many thanks for your comments.
